England head home & Broad injured
Due to the Mumbai bomb blasts for the safety of the England team they are heading back home. The rest of the Odi's have been put on hold but the Test series is meant to go ahead later on in the year. England's high performance squad are also due to arrive back home.
On broad news he has been hit with a hamstring injury which he picked up in the 5th ODI, he was also unable to finish of his allocated 10 overs. Hopefully with a recovery period he will be fit! On news of the 5th ODI, England managed to lose again! Kp's century all in vain!
Stuart showed he was playing beyond his years in the first few ODIs. Admittedly, England haven't won any of them yet but Stuart has done well. Taking wickets, catches, whatever really. However, his batting isn't as good as it has been in the past.
Hopefully, England will win the next 3 ODIs against India, leading into a showdown in the final ODI. That would be one hell of a comeback to be fair. But it's possible!
Anyway, mega thanks to Jay and Candice on updating when I've found it hard to find time! I've been neglecting this site and I feel seriously bad for it having to heap all the responsibility onto Jay and Candice.
Good news everyone! Broady will be playing in the first ODI match tomorrow against India as he passed the fitness test! Yay!!! :)
Also, Ravi will be playing instead of Wrighty and they are bringing in Sammy instead of Swanny. Those are the main changes as far as I know. Well all I can say right now is, "Good Luck lads!!! Go kick some serious ass!"
Broady given a chance to prove his fitness on Thursday
Stuey will be facing a fitness test in Rajkot tomorrow (today for some of you) to figure out whether he can play in the opening ODI against India on Friday. Broady was rested for yesterday's match against Mumbai after complaining of a sore right knee according to some sources. He has been given an injection just to help him through the net session. Fingers crossed he'll be ok for the 1st ODI. Poor thing!
More injury concerns for England as Sidey has yet again been ruled out because of his Achilles problem and, if Broady fails the fitness test, they say England will almost certainly put in Swanny and Sammy to have a twin spin attack. What else can they do right?
